Notes for F. Kenneth WHEATLEY
F. Kenneth Wheatley, 85, of Honey Brook, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Tel-Hai Retirement Community.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Frame Wheatley, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage at the time of her passing in March 2005.
Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Calvin L. and Ethel Deloplaine Wheatley.
Ken was a 1942 graduate of Downingtown High School.
He grew up working on the family farm, then he was employed by R. W. Fetters and Co. as a bus driver and later for Wolfington Bus Co. as a school bus driver before his retirement in 2002.
Ken was a member of Windsor Baptist Church for more than 60 years.
He was also a member of the Patriotic Order Sons of America.
Mr. Wheatley is survived by his daughters, Linda C. Wheatley of Tampa, Fla., Beverly Ann Callery of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Patricia W. Johnson of Honey Brook; grandchildren, Shawn Saathoff and Michelle McGowan; and great-grandson, Connor.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Richard T. Wheatley, and his sister, Marie Wheatley Huffman, both of whom passed away in 1998.
