Notes for Robert Rae WEAVER
Robert R. Weaver, 64, of Oxford died Thursday, Aug. 7, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Jane Cash Weaver, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Harmon and Jewell Weaver.
Mr. Weaver was a U.S. Army veteran and retired as a conductor for Amtrak after 32 years of service. He was a trustee at Moore's Chapel United Methodist Church in Elkton, Md.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, LtC. Robert W. Weaver and his wife, Karen, of Fort Riley, Kansas; a daughter, Ellen Whitesel and her husband, James, of Unionville; his much-loved four grandchildren, Alex Weaver, Hunter Whitesel, Kylie Weaver and Logan Whitesel; three brothers, Harmon Weaver Jr., James Weaver and Roger Weaver; four sisters: Loretta Keener, Joan Grova, Carol Thomas and Lois Pyle; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Faith Caroline Weaver.
His funeral service was Monday, Aug. 11, at Moore's Chapel, Elkton, Md.
Interment will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Rising Sun, Maryland.
