Notes for Margaret L. THRAILKILL
Margaret L. ‘Peg’ Mancill of Wagontown Margaret L. “Peg” Mancill, 86, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was the loving wife of the late William H. Mancill, sharing 63 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2012. Born in Media, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Fischer Thrailkill. Peg was a 1947 graduate of Downingtown High School. After graduation she was employed as a telephone switchboard operator. In 1949, she married William and spent the rest of her life caring for her home and family. Peg was always busy around her home, regularly gardening and swimming in her pool. When her family was young, they enjoyed camping and boating together. Peg and William were also very industrious, having built their own home and helped build their children’s homes. Peg regularly travelled with her husband to their home in Sarasota, Fla., and they liked to ski in the Poconos. She loved being a grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Peg loved the Lord, read her Bible daily, and was always involved in a Bible study. She is survived by her daughter, Sue Lehman, wife of Ken, of Lyndell; son, William Scott Mancill, of Wagontown; grandchildren, Rachel Palmer, wife of Pete, Kara Yoder, wife of Eric, and Abby VanTuil, wife of Ben, and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Thrailkill. Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, where friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be private.
