Notes for William Harold Jr. MANCILL
William H. Mancill of Wagontown William H. Mancill, 85, of Wagontown, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Arden Courts of King of Prussia. He was the beloved husband of Margaret L. Mancill, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Media, he was the son of the late William H. and May Vernon Mancill. Mr. Mancill served in the National Guard and was employed for 35 years as a dispatcher with Bell Telephone, retiring in 1982. He was a former member of Thorndale Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, skiing, camping, boating, gardening, and especially spending time at his summer home in Sarasota, Florida. He was very handy and built his own home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Susan M. Lehman and husband, Kenneth, of Lyndell, and son, W. Scott Mancill of Wagontown. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Baker of Media; grandchildren, Kara Yoder and husband, Eric, Rachel Palmer and husband, Peter, and Abigail Vantuil and husband, Ben; and by great-grandchildren, Julia, Jacob, DeAngelo and Cristian. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Downingtown.
