Notes for Teresa VIRGILIO
TERESA BRACKIN Teresa Virgilio Brackin, 88, passed peacefully from this life, Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester. She is survived by her son, Calvin H. "Cal" Brackin and longtime family friend, Donald Smith of West Chester. Born in Lansdale, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Virgilio. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Virgilio and brother, Henry Virgilio both of Lansdale; sisters-in-law, Anna Virgilio, Theresa Hodson, Mary Wayne, Helen Brackin and Kay Brackin; nieces, Cathy Roland and Marie Wickersham and their families; and nephews, Stephen Virigilio and John Virgilio and their families. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Virgilio and Dominic Virgilio. Teresa and her late husband, Calvin were volunteers for the West Chester Area School District's LEEP/PROBE program for gifted for over 15 years. Together they created wonderful educational materials and artistic displays for the children. For the last three years, Teresa resided at Barclay Friends in West Chester where she became a valued member of that community. She would often sit with failing residents and comfort them. Friends may call at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 9 to 10AM. The visitation will be followed by a religious service at the funeral home at 10AM, and interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made in her name to the Barclay Activity Fund at Barclay Friends, 700 North Franklin Street, West Chester, PA,
