Notes for Patricia Anne LENT

Patricia Anne Taylor, 78, died on Saturday, November 20, 2010, in Keauhou, Hawaii.
Pat was born in Seattle, Washington to Harold Douglas and Lillian Irene Lent, on October 13, 1932. She lived her life to the fullest from beginning to end.
Pat, a lifelong learner, graduated from Bremerton High School and attended University of Washington. She became an EMT/Paramedic in Chelan, Washington. Pat earned her Education for Ministry certification through the University of the South School of Theology.
Her life journey took Pat to many different locales. She was a water pipeline project secretary in Grand Canyon, AZ from 1966 to 1967. She was a nuclear librarian for the U.S. Navy in Bremerton, Washington from 1968 to 1975. She owned the Sand & Surf Restaurant in Chelan, Washington from 1975 to 1984. In Kona, Hawaii, she worked as a public health nurse from 1985 until her retirement in 1997.
Pat belonged to Kai Opua and later Keauhou Canoe Club recreationally, and as a senior master racer. She was a 25-year member of Christ Church Episcopal (vestry, discernment committee). She was a board member of Hospice-Kona, Habitat for Humanity, Council on Aging and belonged to the P.E.0. Sisterhood.
Pat is survived by her brother Doug (Patty) Lent of Bremerton, WA, her sister-in-law Rebecca Reynolds of Bremerton, WA, her children George (Carol) Taylor of Palmer, AK, Deborah (Lee Torgerson) Taylor of Auburn, WA and Pegi (Ray) Glenn of East Wenatchee, WA, her grandchildren Jacob Taylor in the U.S. Navy, Scott Taylor of Tempe, AZ, Lisa Glenn of Ballard, WA & Kyle Glenn of East Wenatchee, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years William S. Taylor, her father and her mother.
Pat was a founding member and a trained volunteer of Hospice-Kona, was a lover of an active lifestyle on the water belonging to the Keauhou Canoe Club. The family encourages memorial donations to either fine organization.
Memorial services will be performed by Father Richard Tardiff at Christ Church Episcopal on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. with reception following. The Keauhou Canoe Club will perform the scattering of ashes at sea on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 7 a.m. out of Keauhou Bay.
