Virginia Graham Pyle Sheehan was know as "Big Grandmom," since she lived with her mother Hannah Martha Pyle (Little Grandmom" for a number of years. She worked as a nurse's aid at Byberry State Hospital in Philadelphia in the Geriatrics ward. She took it upon herself to teach her patients how to crochet and do other crafts. She was a gentle spirit who endured great difficulties in her life with dignity and grace. She is missed.
