Notes for Geraldine M. BRINTON
Geraldine M. "Gerry" Bitts, 83, of Lancaster, formerly of Honey Brook, passed away at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy on Sunday, May 1, 2011 surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of Richard R. Bitts, Sr. with whom she was married 60 years last September 2.
Born December 13, 1927 in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Elsie (Walton) Brinton.
Gerry had retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 22 years as a clerk in Honey Brook. She was a member of the Honey Brook United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking.
In addition to her husband, Gerry will be lovingly missed by her four children, Carole married to Monte Keefer, of Tallahassee, FL, Tina Schadewald, of Lancaster, Sharon married to Willis Jones, of Honey Brook and Richard Bitts, Jr., of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her four siblings, Clarence, Paul, Elmer and Anna.
Interment will be in the Green Hill United Methodist Cemetery, Conestoga, PA.
