Notes for Marjorie Ann CARPENTER

Marjorie Ann Dallett of Nottingham Marjorie Ann Dallett, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at her home. She was the wife of the late Elijah Dallett, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage before he passed in 2012. Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Irving G. and Gertrude Sylvester Carpenter. Marge was active at Unionville Presbyterian Church, a member of Po-Mar-Lin Fire Co. Women’s Auxiliary, retired from Unionville Elementary where she worked in the cafeteria. She enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her family. Marge is survived by her children, Elijah Jr. “Bud” (Carol), Stephen, Alan, Sharon Dunn (Glenn), Mark, Amy Macatee; grandchildren, Margie Reed, Elijah III, Tanya, David, Julie, April Hausman, Adele Macatee, Cassie Macatee and Paul Macatee IV; 10 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Carpenter Pyle (Bob), Charles Carpenter (Marie), Frank Carpenter and Robert Carpenter; sister in law, Ann Dallett Healy (Tom). She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie Ann Reed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery, 1235 Birmingham Road, West Chester, PA 19382. A luncheon will follow at the Dallett family home starting at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Unionville Presbyterian Church, 815 Wollaston Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
