Notes for Elijah DALLETT
Elijah 'Eli' Dallett of Nottingham Elijah 'Eli' Dallett, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Marjorie Ann Carpenter Dallett, with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Alfred and Ethel Hale Dallett. He was a farm machinery mechanic for M.S. Yearsley & Sons, retiring after 50 years of faithful service. He grew up on the Dallett farm in Cheyney and lived in Unionville for many years. He was an avid John Deere tractor and Packer automobile collector and restorer. He was a member of many John Deere and antique automobile clubs. He enjoyed traveling in his motor home, camping and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Eli is survived by his six children, Elijah 'Bud' Dallett Jr. (Carol) and Stephen Dallett both of Unionville, Alan Dallett (Peg) of West Chester, Sharon Dunn (Glenn) of Quakertown, Mark Dallett of Oxford, Amy Macatee (PJ) of Earlville, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Margie Reed, Eli III, Tanya Dallett, David and Julie Dallett, April Roeder, Adele, Cassie, and Paul Macatee; and a sister, Ethel Ann Healy (Tom) of West Chester; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie Reed. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Burial will be private in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery.
