Notes for Deborah PYLE

Deborah "Deb" (Pyle) Cebenka

Was granted her angel wings on Sunday, June 3, 2012. Her family and friends are eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to spend her final days with her at home celebrating her remarkable life.

Deb was born and raised in Wilmington, DE. She attended P.S. DuPont throughout elementary and high school. She then went on to obtain her Bachelors degree in nursing and later her Masters degree from the University of Delaware.

Deb lived her life helping others. She inspired many people and had a profound effect on countless others during her 35+ year tenure as a nurse at Christiana Care. She held many positions during her nursing career from a clinical nurse specialist to her latest appointment as the coordinator for the hemophilia program. Her family, friends, co-workers and patients remember her as a devoted mother, a compassionate nurse, and a brilliant teacher. Her passion for life and beautiful spirit will be remembered by all whose lives were touched by a true angel.

She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin T. Pyle Sr, and her mother, Lillian A. (Fredrickson) Pyle. She is survived by her son, Michael Cebenka; her daughter, Amanda Jones (husband Albert Jones Jr.); her 3 grandchildren, Jeremy, Kasey and Jenna; her sisters, Jackie Pyle and Eileen O'Neal (husband Tom O'Neal); her brother, Frank Pyle Jr (wife Diane Pyle); and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the medical staff from the Hospital of the Univ. of Pennsylvania for their tireless effort and true compassion.

A celebration of Deb's life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Church of Atonement on Philadelphia Pike, in Claymont. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am with the memorial service at 11 am. Interment is private.
