Notes for William BEALE

William was a member of the PA House of Representatives from 1799-1806, and served as State Senator from Mifflin and Huntingdon Districts, 1812-1816. He was a Lieut Col. in the PA Militia, 1800-1807. He is the only one of Capt. Thomas' children who stayed in Juniata Co.; the others migrated to western PA.
Miss Eva C McClellan has records in a very old book, written by John Beale, son of Col. William, stating that they were copied from the records of Col. William Beale. It even gives the hour the children were born. Washington Beale, b. 4-18-1818, was included. Miss Mary Memminger has the same record.
