Notes for Barbara LIPPIATT

Barbara L. Jefferis, 93, of Chambersburg and formerly of Coatesville, died on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, in the Shook Home.
Her beloved husband, Kenneth B. Jefferis, whom she married on June 30, 1951, died Sept. 16, 1994.
Born Oct. 13, 1914, in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late William and Katie May Woland Lippiatt.
She was a 1932 graduate of Reading High School and a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Coatesville.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary for more than 30 years with the law firm of Gordon & Ashton, Coatesville, and retired from the law firm of Thomas Ashton, West Chester.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay L. (and husband, Thomas L.) Geisel, of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Katie L. Hershberger of Chambersburg and Stephen K. Hershberger of Waynesboro; and a great-grandson, Kamden R. Hershberger.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until service time on Monday. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in the Laureldale Cemetery, Reading, with her pastor, the Rev. John W. Carlson, officiating.
