Donald S. Jefferis of Unionville Donald S. Jefferis, 68, died in a tragic farm accident at his Laurel Hill Farm in Unionville, on Thursday, May 24, 2012. He was the husband of Judith Donaldson Jefferis, whom he married in 2002 after the death of his first wife, Deborah Taylor Jefferis with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Samuel E. Jefferis and Margaret Sharp Jefferis. He graduated from Coatesville High School in 1961 and from Ursinus College, class of 1965 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He spent his professional career designing and installing administrative software for colleges and universities. He enjoyed American history, especially local Chester County events. He loved hunting, antiquing, bee-keeping, riding, working on the farm and singing. He was active in the choir at Hephzibah Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Donald S. Jefferis, Jr. of South Padre Island, Texas; a daughter, Elizabeth E. Terrien of Chicago, Ill.; a brother, Samuel E. Jefferis, Jr. of Lambertville, N.J.; step-children, Jennifer McClellan Files of Chelsea, Ala., Erica McClellan Cobb of London, UK, Matthew McClellan of Charlottesville, Va., and Carolyn Jordan of Unionville; and eight step-grandchildren. Private interment will be at Romansville Friends Meeting Cemetery.
