Kathryn Elizabeth Kindig Clark
Wife of the late Cantwell Clark, IV, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at her home at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford, Pennsylvania.
Born on August 25, 1920 in Stuart's Draft, Augusta County, Virginia, Mrs. Clark was the daughter of the late Charles David Kindig and Alice (Wood) Kindig.
A graduate of Waynesboro High School and Strayer Business College, Mrs. Clark was a secretary for a Waynesboro, Virginia manufacturer and, after moving with her husband to Rhode Island and Delaware, an extraordinary and gracious homemaker and volunteer with many Wilmington, Delaware charitable organizations.
She was an avid golfer, knowledgeable bird watcher, skilled in needlework and, together with her husband, an accomplished angler.
Throughout her life, and as a sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Kathryn Kindig Clark was a gentlewoman of quiet grace, strength and subtle humor. She leaves a legacy of a life lived fully; remaining engaged, active and independent until her death.
She is survived by her son Cantwell Clark, V, her daughter in law Susan Luby Mansfield and her granddaughter Eve Kindig Mansfield, all of Hanover, New Hampshire as well as her sister Charlene Kindig Nebel of Charlottesville, Virginia.
