Notes for Ruth C. HILAMAN
Ruth H. Brittingham, 87, of West Chester, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at the Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
She was the wife of Martin T. Brittingham Jr.
Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late Norman Hilaman and the late Esther Crowl Hilaman.
She was a graduate of West Chester High School and worked as a homemaker.
Ruth was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, where she was very active.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Walter E. Bennett Jr. of Cincinnati, Ohio, Norman L. Bennett of Exton and John F. Pennypacker Jr. of West Chester. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy B. Hamilton.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, 130 W. Miner St., West Chester.
Interment will be in Oaklands Cemetery, West Chester.
