Notes for Earl Carlton YARNALL

Earl C. Yarnall Sr., 76, a dairy farmer for more than 60 years, died of heart failure Saturday at Lankenau Hospital in Lower Merion. He lived in West Grove.
Mr. Yarnall worked on the family's 54-acre farm as a teenager. After leaving the former New London Academy at age 16, he became a full-time dairy farmer and continued to work until illness sidelined him a month ago.
"He didn't want to sit down," said his son, Earl Jr. "He would work the tractor and milk the cows. He didn't watch television because he enjoyed working." His farm, in New London Township, had 65 milk cows.
Mr. Yarnall's favorite pastime was fox hunting.
He also is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Russ Yarnall; daughters Nancy Pratt and Betty Anne O'Brien; two sisters; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. today at Foulk Funeral Home, 200 Rose Hill Rd., West Grove, followed by services at 11 a.m. Burial will be at New West Grove Cemetery.
