Notes for Elizabeth L. HICKMAN
Elizabeth (Libby) Hickman Pratt, 95, of Elizabethtown, Pa.passed away on November 18th, 2012 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, where she resided for the past eight years.
She was born January 19, 1917 in West Chester and was the daughter of the late Dr. David E. Hickman and the late Lavina Althouse Hickman.
Libby was married in 1941, to the late John D. Pratt Jr. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and friend who relished in her devotion and service to the community.
Libby was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester, serving and volunteering in many capacities in the church life, especially involving food preparation. She also was involved with the New Century Club, Meals on Wheels, Scouting and PTA.
Libby and her late husband were founding members of the 49er's Chorus. She also loved creating needlepoint, playing bridge, gardening, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and entertaining.
Libby is survived by her son, John D. Pratt, IV and his wife Anna Boyce, daughter, Cynthia Pratt Crane and her husband Jim, daughter, Lauretta Pratt Becker and her husband Mark, four grandsons, Justan Pratt, Derek Crane and his wife Kyleen, Spencer Crane and Andy Becker and a granddaughter Abigail Becker.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church of West Chester 130 W. Miner St. West Chester, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m.
Interment will be held at Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester.
