Notes for Francis Harold CLOUD
Francis H. Cloud Sr. of Oxford Francis H. Cloud, Sr., 83, of Oxford, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove. He was the husband of the late Doris Vail Cloud. Born in New London, he was the son of the late Jesse and Anna Brosius Cloud. Francis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a lifetime a member of the American Legion Mason-Dixon Post #194, Rising Sun, Md. for over 60 years, where he also served in the Honor Guard in the early 1950's. Francis owned and operated Cloud's Trash Removal, Oxford from 1957 until he retired in 1989. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2666, Oxford, where he served in the PA State Office, as well as a member of the Ocklokonee Tribe #212 I.O.R.M., Oxford and the West Grove Silver Band Motorcycle Club. Francis loved playing golf in his spare time. He is survived by one son, F. Harold Cloud, Jr. and his wife, Diane of Northeast, Md.; one daughter, JoAnne C. Arrowood and her husband, Barry of Oxford; two grandchildren, Robert and Brian Cloud; and one great-grandchild, Addison Cloud. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse Cloud, Joseph Cloud and Raymond Cloud and four sisters, Evelene Knotts, Eleanor Willis, Beatrice Pierce and Marguerite Hastings. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, where friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in New London Presbyterian Cemetery.
