Notes for Oscar D. SUPPLEE

Oscar D. Supplee, 83, of Thompsontown, and formerly of Westtown and Lincoln University, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at his farmhouse on the dairy farm which he and his wife operated for many years.
Born in West Chester, he is a son of the late Chester A. and Mary (Hughes) Supplee.
He is survived by: his wife of 60 years, Vera (Androwick) Supplee, whom he married Dec. 2, 1950; three sons, Glenn Supplee and wife, Darla, of Thompsontown, Dave Supplee and wife, Anne, of Mifflintown, and Tim Supplee and wife, Julie, of Thompsontown; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, Adam Supplee and wife, Amber, and their daughter, Jael, Kyle Supplee and wife, Jenn, Nick Supplee, G. Tyler Supplee, Ian Supplee, Brandon Supplee, and Lyndsey Supplee; two sisters, Mary S. Velde, of Lancaster, and Dorothy S. Zug, of Peach Bottom; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sydney Zug Price and a brother, Wilmer Supplee.
Oscar was a graduate of West Chester High School and graduated from Penn State University. He was a life-long dairy farmer and, after retiring from farming, delivered parts for Carquest.
He attended Locust Run United Methodist Church and was a member of Walker Grange. He enjoyed reading and watching football and baseball, especially Penn State and the Phillies.
Funeral services and burial were in Juniata County.
