Notes for William Edward SUPPLEE
William Edward "Bill" Supplee Sr., 88, of Romansville, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Brandywine Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Florence B. Supplee with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late George and Virginia (Reeves) Supplee.
Bill was a county resident for all his life and was a 1947 graduate of Unionville High School. He was employed as truck driver for Mushroom Transportation Co. in Kennett Square.
Bill was very active in the Mason’s during the course of his life holding positions in the Coatesville Lodge as well as participating in Rajah Shriners, Tall Cedars, and Marshalton Grange #1394. He was also a proud member of the Chester County Antique Home and Farm Association, an avid collector of a vast array of books, and will be fondly remembered as a local historian.
He is survived by three children Bill Supplee, Jr. of East Fallowfield, Betsy Supplee of West Bradford, and Susan Yeoman and husband Don of East Fallowfield, four grandsons; Kevin Vattelana, Jared Supplee, Nick Supplee, and Bryson Supplee, and four siblings; Robert Supplee, Richard Supplee and wife Jeannie, Jack Supplee and wife Judi, and Peter Supplee. He was predeceased by one brother; George Supplee.
Funeral Services will be held at Bradford Friends Meeting, 1366 West Strasburg Rd. West Chester PA 19382, on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at 11 am with a viewing period from 9:30 to 11 am. Interment will directly follow the service and will take place at Romansville Friends Burying Ground.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg PA.
