Notes for Florence S. CROUTHAMEL
Florence (Crouthamel) Lukens 94 died Sept. 7 2005 in LifeQuest Nursing Center Quakertown. She was the wife of the late Harry G. "Hap" Lukens who died in 1982. A former longtime resident of Lansdale Mrs. Lukens lived with her son and daughter-in-law in Sellersville for 15 years before entering the nursing home. Born in Hilltown she was the daughter of the late Cephas K. and Ella Mae (Schnable) Crouthamel.
For many years she worked at the former Dexdale and Interstate Hosiery Mills in Lansdale retiring around 1973.
She was a lifetime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Hilltown.
Surviving are two sons Allen M. Lukens and his wife Jeanette of Sellersville and retired U.S. Air Force Col. Robert P. Lukens and his wife Phyllis of San Antonio TX; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a brother Paul S. Crouthamel of Fairhill Hilltown Twp.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister Alice Conard.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Monday Sept. 12 at 11 AM in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 1530 Augsburg Drive Line Lexington PA 18932 where friends may call after 10 AM. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Union Cemetery.
