Raymond M. Yarnall Sr. Obituary
1921-2016 Raymond M. Yarnall, Sr., age 94 formerly of Linwood, PA, died on January 9, 2016 at home. He was born to late Samuel & Edith Bird Yarnall in Chester, PA. Raymond has resided in Collegeville, PA with his daughter for the past year, he previously was a resident of Linwood, PA for over 60 years. After high school, he served in the Army during WWII before beginning his career with Sun Oil in Marcus Hook, PA. A machinist, he was employed there for over 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid Fisherman & Hunter and enjoyed spending time in Fenwick Island and fishing the Indian River Inlet. He was also a sports fan, especially enjoying the Phillies. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen E. Yarnall (nee) Williams who died in 2011, a son, Raymond M. Yarnall Jr. who died in 2012, and a brother Wayne Yarnall. He is survived by his daughter, Susan Zummo and her husband, Joseph, a brother, Willard Yarnall, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Yarnall, grandchildren, Crisa (Michael) Dougherty, Mariel (Greg) Holcombe, Joseph Zummo Jr., Raymond Yarnall III, Matthew (Christy) Yarnall and Pete Yarnall, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. A viewing will be held on Saturday, 9-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Entombment, Lawn Croft Garden Mausoleum, Linwood, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Einstein Montgomery Hospice, 1330 Powell St., Ste. 100, Norristown, PA 19401.
