Notes for Marjorie Ann HICKS

Marjorie H. Crossan, formerly of Landenberg Marjorie Hicks Crossan, formerly of Landenberg, born Oct. 9, 1930 to Earl and Ethel Langley Hicks, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Ware Presbyterian Healthcare Center in Oxford. Marjorie was a licensed beautician and a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. Crossan in 1994; brothers, Earl and John L. Hicks and sisters, Lillian Hicks and Laura Hicks Pusey. Marjorie is survived by a daughter, Diane C. Vincent and her husband, Lee of Lincoln University; son, C. Cleveland Crossan and his wife, Susan of Oxford; two grandsons, Jeffrey A. and Mark J. Boyle; three step-granddaughters, Charlene Chandler, Kimberly and Julie Vincent; five great-grandsons; two step-great-granddaughters; sister, Phyllis Wickersham and brother, Evans Hicks, both of Kennett Square. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28, at Kemblesville United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1772 New London Rd., Kemblesville. Friends and family may call between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Willow Tree Hospice, 616 E. Cypress St., Kennett Square, PA 19348; or Ware Presbyterian Benevolent Fund, 7 E. Locust St., Oxford, PA 19363.
