Notes for Robert MORRIS

Robert Morris attended Jefferson Medical College and enlisted in the Field Artillery in 1899. He was a graduate of the Army War College and served forty-two years in the United States Army. He was active in both the Mexican
border trouble and in Worid War I. He served as aide to Gen. William Price in World War I, and chief of Staff of the 28th Division and in the Inspector General Department from 1941 until his retirement as colonel in 1944. Col. Morris was a member of the Military Order of World Wars, the Rittenhouse Club (Philadelphia) and of the Swedish Colonial Socicty of which he was governor.
