Notes for Charles Thomas CROSSON
For forty years he owned and ran the Cross Keys Hotel on Main street in Unionville. His wife did most of the cooking. They lived in the Bank building.
He died on a Saturday afternoon at two o'clock after a long illness from Bright's disease and an affected limb. He had been bedfast for the past eighteen weeks prior to his passing.
He belonged to the Red men, who will have charge of his funeral, and was for many years a member of the Republican County committee. In his youth he was a shoemaker, and for a time he was proprietor of a restaurant in Avondale, where he married his wife.
