Notes for Martha ENGLAND

Martha E. Husbands, formerly of Delaware County Martha E. Husbands, 95, died March 31, 2011 at the Pembrooke Health and Rehabilitation Residence in West Chester. Born May 22, 1915 on her family's farm in Brandywine Summit, Martha was a life long resident of Delaware County. Martha was married for 58 years to her husband, Thomas Floyd Husbands Sr. who died in 1993. They resided in their home on Naaman's Creek Road for 72 years. Martha was a graduate of Kennett High School and Goldey Beacom College earning a secretarial degree. She and Floyd were both employed by Allied Chemical for many years. Martha is survived by her only child, Thomas F. Husbands Jr. (Joy) of Wilmington, Del., a grandson Randall T. Husbands of Wilmington, a granddaughter Lisa Husbands Bolon (Douglas) of Athens, Ohio, as well as three great-grandchildren, Miles and Luke Husbands of Lancaster, Pa. and Drake Bolon of Athens, Ohio. Martha is also survived by a niece, Ruth Eisenhauer (Bruce) of Hookset, N.H., as well as a cousin Dorothy England Sciallo Weickel (Bob) of Royersford. Martha was predeceased by her sister, Lyda England White, her brother, Walter England, as well as her parents, William Penn England and Jenny Waterman England. To honor Martha's wishes services will be private. Burial will be in Chester Bethel Cemetery, Wilmington, Del.
