Notes for Jacob HAPPERSETT
Apparently, Jacob's daughter, Sara, married his brother (her uncle) John William Happersett. They had a son, Henry B., who then married his distant cousin Agnes, the daughter of Melchi Happersett. This situation apparently infuriated Jacob, who proceeded to change the spelling of his name to Habbersett. Some of his children, however, appear to have kept the Happersett name.
Jacob was one of the founding "Habbersett Brothers" pork packing business.
