Joan H. Vowles died May 10, 2002, at age 72.

Joan Hoover was born April 12, 1930, in Pasadena, Calif. A homemaker, she moved from California to Wilsonville in 1978 and in 1995 to Tualatin. In 1952, she married Dr. William L.; they divorced.
Survivors include her sons, Mark, Aaron and Brian; brother, Herbert Hoover III; sister, Margaret Brigham; and five grandchildren.
No service. Remembrances to Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements by Cornwell Colonial Chapel.
