Notes for Gertrude Anna LEWIS
Gertrude Anna "Gertie" Hannum, 88, a resident of Harrison Senior Living in Coatesville, passed away on February 7, 2011 at the Brandywine Hospital in Coatesville. Born on August 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Cora (nee Bones) Lewis. Gertie was a homemaker who enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach, Maine, Longwood Gardens, staying at her house in Rehoboth Beach but above all tremendously enjoyed time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Rowland Hannum in 2007. Surviving is her son, Gary (Kathleen) Hannum, her daughter, Linda (Robert) Book, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Gertie is also survived by her two brothers, Samuel and William Lewis and a sister, Marion Morelli. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, sisters Margaret Dowlin, Freida Cozzone, Cora Watters and Evelyn Sciaretta. Relatives and friends are invited to Gertie's Life Celebration from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, Tuesday February 15, with her funeral service at 12 noon at Ralston & Bredickas of Downingtown, 107 W. Lancaster Avenue, 610-269-3041. Interment Philadelphia Memorial Park.
