Henry Kurtz Canby, 70, a retired marketing analyst who gave his time to volunteer projects, died Tuesday at Chestnut Hill Hospital. He lived in Chestnut Hill. Mr. Canby, who was raised in Germantown and attended Germantown Friends School, worked for Smith Kline & French Co. and for the American College of Physicians, and he retired in the mid-1970s from Lea Associates.
He had been active with the Northwest Ambulance Corps and, after retiring, gave his free time to Meals on Wheels and to Chestnut Hill Hospital. He was a member of the Philadelphia Aviation Country Club at Wings Field.
Survivors: daughters, Patricia Dushane and Sarah Ann Stewart; four grandchildren, and a sister.
Services: memorial, 1 p.m. Saturday, St. Paul's Church, Chestnut Hill.
