Jefferis W. Freeman, 88, of Race Track Road, Parkesburg RD 1, died in Lancaster General Hospital Saturday morining.
Husband of the late Sarah Collins Freeman, he was born in Thorndale, the son of the late Wesley and Eleanor Woodward Freeman.
He resided in this area all his life and for the last year and four months had lived at the Parkesburg address.
He attended the Hepzibah Baptist Churcy and was a farmer all his life.
He is survived by a daughter, Adalyne S., wife of John Woodward, Parkesburg, RD 1; a son, Owen H. Freeman of Sadsburyville; a grandchild and five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jenny Gill of Cochranville, Mrs. Iva Thompson of Kennett Square RD and Mrs. Phoebe Leighton of Clifton Heights; also a brother, Albert Freeman of Cochranville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services from James W. Wilde & Sons funeral home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg Tuesday February 16 at 2 p.m. Interment Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery.
