Notes for Joanne W. FOY
Joanne W. Beebe, (nee Foy), 59, passed peacefully on July 8, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.
Joanne resided in Middletown with her husband, Steve, son Thomas and daughters Ellen and Charlotte. Joanne is also survived by her mother, Louise Foy, nee Sadowski, and eight sisters, Barbara, Patricia, Michelle, Mary Louise, Janet Plummer (Andrew), Maureen, Nancy, and Sharon; her nieces, Sarah, Emily, Siobhan and Miranda; and her nephew, Matthew. Also by her father-in-law, Frederick T. Beebe III of Media and his children Linda, Jeffery, Donald, Constance, Lisa and Edward and their many children.
She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Foy; her mother-in-law, Florence M. (Alma) Beebe; and her brother-in-law, Frederick T. Beebe IV.
For many years Joanne was a devoted teacher at the School of the Holy Child (now HC Academy) in Drexel Hill and prior to that in the Upper Darby School District, and she was a social services worker.
Joanne's entire life was centered around her faith and loving family and friends. She enjoyed reading, walking, playing tennis, gardening and baking as well as attending and participating in her children's sporting, school and other events.
Relatives and friends are invited to The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 12, and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Nativity BVM Church, 30 E. Franklin Street, Media, PA.
Interment will be in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield.
