Notes for John Allen FLUCK
John A. "Dutch" Fluck of East Norriton, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2011. He was 87.
He was the husband of Barbara ( Beebe ) Fluck.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 4, 1924 to the late John A. and Florence ( Blakley ) Fluck.
John has lived in East Norriton for over 35 years, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pa and Blue Bell, Pa and Philadelphia where he was born and raised.
He was a member of the Reformation Church of Blue Bell.
He served in the US Army during World War II, where he fought in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, American Theater Service Medal, EAME Theater Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars, and the Victory Medal.
He worked as a Civil Engineer with Pitometer Associates of New York out of the Philadelphia, Pa office.
He was a volunteer Fire Man in his younger years with Centre Square Fire Co.
In addition to his wife Barbara, John is survived by his sons: Jay Fluck of Gettysburg, PA and John Fluck, Jr. of New York City, NY. His daughters: Judi Sjoerdsma of Grand Rapids, MI., Jill Miller of Tampa, FL. and Janice Lynch of Worcester, PA.
He is also Survived By 12 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters: Marian Fluck & Dorothy Hammond.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 17 at 10:00 AM from the Reformation Church Of Blue Bell 1215 Union Meeting Road, Blue Bell.
The Rev. Ken Kok will be officiating.
Friends may call on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00AM at the church.
Interment will be in William Penn Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA
