Notes for Frederick Taylor III BEEBE
Frederick T. Beebe III, 86 Lifelong Media Resident Frederick T. Beebe III, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 8, 2011 surrounded by family at his home in Media, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife Florence May Beale Beebe in 2005; his brother Edwad Weeks Beebe who was killed in Iwo Jima in 1945 and his son Frederick T. Beebe IV. Born on July 23, 1924, Fred was a graduate of Nether Providence High School in 1942 and Pennsylvania Military College in 1949. He was employed at the Sun Ship Co. of Chester, S.T. Hudson Engineers of Philadelphia and owned and operated Beebe Survey Co. of Media. He served in the Army Engineers and Infantry from April 1943 to his time of honorable discharge in 1946. Fred helped organize the New Republican Party and served as a Board Member and Coach of the then Media Boys Club. He enjoyed surveying in Delaware County; drafting plot plans, gardening, carpentry and reading history and archaeology. Survivors: Brothers Robert Beebe and Noel Beebe; sisters Barbara Fluck and Nancy Beebe; children Linda Hershey, Jeffrey Beebe, Donald Beebe, Constance Beebe Schnaars, Steven Beebe, Lisa Beebe Schursky and Edward Beebe; also 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren Contributions: may be made to the Media Youth Center.
