Notes for Walter Davis LAMBERT
Mr, Lambert received the degree of B. A. from Harvard University in 1900 and
the degree of M. A. in 1901. He was a teacher of mathematics in Purdue University, University of Maine and the University of Pennsylvania. He was a computer in the Coast and Geodetic Survey of 1904-07 and took part in the work of that department of the govemment. He was active in the Washington Academy of Sciences, Philosophical Society of Washington, the Intemational
Astronomical Union, the International Association of Geodesy and other organizations. He was a member of the Cosmos Club, Harvard Club, the Community League and made his home in Takoma Park, Md. for many years.
