Notes for Clarence Everett MARTIN
Clarence Everett Martin of Downingtown Clarence Everett Martin, 85, of Downingtown, passed away at his home on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015. Born in Glenmoore, he was the son of the late William P. and Minnie Miller Martin. A county resident all his life, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1949. Everett was a lifelong trucker, retiring after 29 years from Walter J. Styer Inc. of Eagle, PA in 1991. He is survived by eight children: Susan M. Stasny, wife of John, Katherine M. Snyder, Barbara A. Hurd, Gregory P. Martin, husband of Jamie, Douglas E. Martin, husband of Andrea, James B. Martin, husband of Glenna, Clarence E. Martin Jr., all of Downingtown and Jean M. Sciarretta, wife of Richard, of Cochranville, 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Joshua T. Martin and Zachary J. Stasny, a great granddaughter, Taylor R. Hood, and eight siblings. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg followed by interment at the Hopewell Methodist Cemetery, Downingtown.
