Notes for Charles Barrett Jr. CLEAVER

Charles Barrett Cleaver Jr., formerly of West Chester Charles Barrett Cleaver Jr., 95, formerly of West Chester, died Monday, November 29, 2010, at Tel Hai Retirement Community in Honey Brook. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Louise Garrett Cleaver, who died in 1990. Born in Bacton, he was the son of the late Charles Barrrett Cleaver Sr. and the late Armine Nixon Hart Murray Cleaver. He lived in West Chester most of his adult life and moved to Tel Hai in 2001. He graduated in the class of 1933 from Tredyffrin Easttown High School in Berwyn. In 1982, he retired from Schramm Inc., where he worked for 41 years and was the S.E. regional sales manager. He was a life member and past commander of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member for over 50 years of the Masonic Lodge # 322, West Chester and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon #22. He was a Presbyterian by faith. Charles is survived by his sons, Randolph Phillip Cleaver of West Chester, Kenneth Garrett Cleaver of Cochranville and Donald Murray Cleaver of Jupiter, Florida; five granddaughters, Michelle, Rita, Jessica, Kimberly and Leslie; and a grandson, Brian. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 3, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Chester, 610-696-0134. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, at the funeral home. There will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Grove Methodist Cemetery, West Whiteland Township.
