Mr. Alison was graduated in arts from the University of Pennsylvania (then the college of Philadelphia) in 1770; studied medicine, and was a surgeon during the Revolution. He was a physician of eminence, and died in Chatham, Chester county, Penn., where he resided May 11, 1813.
