Notes for Thomas Savery WEBB

Thomas S. Webb, 81, of Chadds Ford, formerly of Aston, a Korean War veteran, died Oct. 5 at Brinton Manor Nursing Home in Glen Mills.
Mr. Webb was born in Atlantic City, N.J., to the late James E. and Recilla White Webb. He had lived in Aston for 47 years before moving to Chadds Ford three months ago.
Mr. Webb served in the Army during the Korean War, from 1951-52, and stayed on as an Army Reservist until 1956. He received the Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars and the United Nations Service Medal.
Mr. Webb worked for the Penn-Delco School District until his retirement in 2002. He had previously worked at Congoleum Corp. in Linwood.
Mr. Webb was a baseball coach with the Aston-Middletown Little League. He enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling and loved working with his hands. He had built his family home in Aston. Mr. Webb also liked working on cars and enjoyed fine dining. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. His family was most important to him.
He was the father of the late Michael Webb, who died in 1987, and James E. Webb, who died in 1996. He was the brother of the late James Webb, John Webb, Harlan Webb, Eleanor Webb and Mildred Vickers.
Survivors: Wife, Theresa ”Terry“ Yaglenski Webb; son, Thomas S. Webb of Springfield; daughter, Patti Ann Scull of Bedford Hills, N.Y.; six grandchildren.
Service: 10:30 a.m. today, White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 3551 Concord Road, Aston.
Visitation: 9-10:15 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
