Notes for James Edwin Jr. WEBB

James E. Webb, Jr., 82, of Concord Township, a retired electro plater for General Electric, died Oct. 23 at Riddle Hospital.

Born in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of the late James E. and Ricella White Webb. Mr. Webb had lived in Concord for 33 years and had previously resided in the Folsom section of Ridley Township.

He had worked for General Electric Co. as an electro plater for 33 years, retiring in 1973.

Mr. Webb served on the USS Donaldson with the U.S. Navy during World War II and received the Pacific Theater Ribbon with one bronze star, the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

He loved farming and planting in his garden and also travelling in his motorhome.

Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Mary E. Reiley Webb; two brothers, Thomas Webb of Aston and John Webb of Collingdale; one sister, Eleanor Webb of Boothwyn and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 240 Concord Road, Aston. Burial will be in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Chester Heights.
