Notes for Nancy Leah BANNERMAN
Nancy went peacefully to her eternal home on Monday, March 20 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Boston, MA, the daughter of Susan and Douglas Bannerman and the oldest of four children. She is predeceased by her mother, father, and sister Linda. She is survived by her brother Robert of North Carolina and her sister, Kathleen of Los Angeles, along with her husband of 48 years, Art Brosius, their two children Artie and Courtenay, and their five grandchildren, Jordan, Gabe, Harrison, Christian and Naomi.
Nancy graduated from AI duPont HS in 1961 and earned a BS in Chemistry from Beloit College in 1965. She worked as a lab technologist in Chicago, then returned to Wilmington and worked several years as a patent chemist for Hercules. Nancy enjoyed working many years as an administrative assistant at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, where she also volunteered in various capacities and loved singing in the choir. Nancy's interests included reading, entertaining, golden retrievers and spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church (BVBC). Visitation at 9 am, followed by the service at 11 am.
