Sarah Turner Brosius
Age 90, of Kennett Square, PA, formerly of Avondale, PA, passed away on Monday, August, 2, 2010 at Crosslands. She was the wife of Arthur Brosius, who passed away in 2000, and with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Born in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Newton Russell and May Lamb Turner. She attended the National Park Seminary, a finishing school in Washington, DC. Mrs. Brosius was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed oil painting, flower arranging, needle point, traveling, and vacations at the Jersey shore.
She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Kennett Square, PA, the Kennett Square Golf and Country Club, and a former member of the Spade & Trowel Garden Club and the Avondale Womens Club. She also was a volunteer at the Chester County Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Arthur Brosius, and his wife Nancy of Wilmington, DE and Newton Turner Brosius and his wife Gini of Avondale, PA; one daughter, Suzanne Brosius Pusey and her husband John of Kennett Square, PA, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Elizabeth Yeatman and one brother, Newton Russell Turner.
Her Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday morning, August 21, at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 401 N. Union Street, Kennett Square, PA. Burial will be private.
