Notes for Hazel JACKSON
Hazel J. Walton, 87, of Cochranville, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Jennersville Regional Hospital.
She was the widow of the late Horace A. Walton, who passed away in 2004 after sharing 61 years of marriage.
Born on Friday, June 30, 1922, in Little Britain Township, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of Leiper G. and Ila Bradley Jackson.
In her youth, she was a member of the Little Britain Presbyterian Church and she was a graduate of the Quarryville High School.
Hazel and her late husband Horace owned and operated their dairy farm in Cochranville.
She was a lifetime member and a past Worthy Matron of the O.E.S. Chapter 347 of Cochranville.
Hazel belonged to the Cochranville Methodist Church.
Hazel loved spending time with her family and friends, and she enjoyed working with her husband on the farm.
She is survived by three children, H. Leslie Walton, husband of Bonnie, William J. Walton, husband of Linda, and Donna W. McCool, wife of Mark, all of Cochranville; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dorothy Brown of Quarryville, H. Andrew Jackson, husband of Eva of Peach Bottom, Sara Myer of Elizabethtown, Marian Wilson of Christiana, and Robert Jackson of Elkton, Md.; and sister-in-law, Mary Jackson of Peach Bottom.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Weaver and Horace Jackson.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 3, at 11:30 a.m. at the Cochranville Methodist Church, 92 Church Drive, Cochranville, PA 19330, followed by interment in the Cochranville Methodist Cemetery.
