Notes for John Milton LUTZ
J. MILTON LUTZ, banker, resides in Upper Darby Township. As president of the First National Bank of Clifton Heights, Mr. Lutz, in a large measure, is responsible for the rapid growth of the district. He assisted in organizing the West Philadelphia bank in 1911, and was Chosen President, which position he held until the West Philadelphia bank was absorbed by the Bank and Trust Company of West Philadelphia, of which he is President. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Lansdowne National Bank. Mr. Lutz is a member of the Masonic fraternities, Lu Lu Shrine and Knights Templar. His clubs are the Union League, Aronimink Golf, Craftsman’s and White Apron. He was born in 1856, on October 18th, at Three Tuns, Montgomery county. His parents were George M. Lutz and Mary Martha Collom. For forty-three years Mr. Lutz has served as school director in Upper Darby. He is trustee and treasurer of the State School at Spring City. He is a Director of the Bankers’ Bond and Mortgage Company and Vice President of the Mione Manufacturing Company. In polities, he is a Republican, having served in the Legislature in 1907, and for nine years, was chairman of the Delaware County Republican Executive Committee. He is a Methodist. He is married, his wife being Mary J. Dermond and their three children
