AGAWAM - Paul Diduk, 80, of South Street, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 24, 2008 in a local nursing home. Born in Agawam, son of the late Dimitry and Fevronia (Woytovich) Diduk, he was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Agawam High School. Paul worked for over thirty years at Hamilton Standard retiring as a supervisor. He had also been an auxiliary police officer for the Town of Agawam. He was a World War II navy veteran. Paul's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Country Estates Nursing Home and the Baystate Visiting Nurse & Hospice for the kind and compassionate care shown to their father. He was predeceased by his wife, Gwendolyn (Perkins) Diduk in 1996 and a brother, John Diduk. He leaves four sons, Robert D. Diduk of Westfield, Paul D. Diduk of Belchertown, Jeffrey S. Diduk, Randy J. Diduk both of Agawam, a daughter, Sherry L. Giroux of Granby, MA, his loving companion, Elizabeth Burns of Enfield, CT, three sisters, May Vient of Springfield, Vera McLaughlin, Ann Pennock both of Agawam, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street, followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baystate Visiting Nurse & Hospice, 50 Maple Street, Box, 9058, Springfield, MA 01102 9058 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA
