Notes for Margaret SHARPLESS
Margaret S. Richards, 74, of Kemblesville, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010, at her home.
She was the wife of C. Victor Richards, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
Born in West Grove, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Margaret Burn Sharpless.
She was a member of Kemblesville United Methodist Church.
A homemaker, she kept books for the family business, Richards Auto Repair Inc.
She was a member of the Oxford Bowling League and BMC Sports Car Club.
She enjoyed bowling and being with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, C. Timothy Richards of New London and Jonathan T. Richards and his wife, Michelle, of Kemblesville; one brother, William B. Sharpless of West Grove; two sisters, Anna Mary McCarter of Wilmington, Del., and Ruth Farmer of Landenberg; and four grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, at Kemblesville United Methodist Church, Route 896 and Peacedale Road, Kemblesville, and again from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 21.
Her funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. on Friday at the church.
Interment will be in the adjacent church cemetery.
