Louis R. Mahers, 36, of West Brandywine Township, died of Hodgkin's disease last Sunday in Chester County Hospital, West Chester.
Mr. Mahers was born in Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, and was a graduate of West Chester Henderson High School. He had lived in Chester County most of his life.
He was employed as a steam fitter for Local 420 of Philadelphia for 18 years.
He was a member of the Exton Baptist Church, the Indian King Hunting Camp, the Brandywine Trout Club, and the Brandywine Dart League.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Journey Mahers; two daughters, Christine M. Mahers and Ann Frances Mahers; his mother, Shirley Pinkerton Mahers; a brother, and three sisters.
A funeral was held Thursday in the Ralston & Bredickas Funeral Home in Downingtown. Burial was in Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery, East Brandywine Township.
