Notes for Robert Edwin BRACKIN
Robert Edwin Brackin, 85, of Landenberg, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010, at Jenner's Pond Retirement Community.
He was the husband of Mildred Lane Brackin, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born in West Grove, he was the son of the late Raymond A. and Edna Pyle Brackin.
Bob worked for Sloan Ford in West Grove for 27 years as a service/parts manager. After that he was a partner with his son Rick in Brackin's Service Center in West Grove for 25 years.
In 1968, Bob was one of the founding members of the Red Oak Camp in Clearfield County. He enjoyed hunting and the mountains.
He was a former Franklin Township tax collector and a former member of the Avon Grove School Board.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Robert A. Brackin and his wife, Judy, of West Grove, Ray L. Brackin of New London, Richard L. Brackin and his wife, Linda, of Landenberg, and David J. Brackin of New London; two daughters, Eloise Russell of Phoenixville and Nancy K. Waugh and her husband, Dennis, of Lincoln University; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers.
You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, April 16, at the New London Presbyterian Church, 1986 Newark Road (Route 896), New London.
His funeral service will follow at noon.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
