Notes for Margaret WRIGHT
Margaret "Gracie" Silknetter, 92, of Canastota, N.Y., formerly of Parkesburg, passed away peacefully early Easter Sunday morning, April 4, 2010, at the Martin Luther Home in Clinton, N.Y.
Born in Parkesburg, she was the daughter of the late J. Frank and Anna Mendenhall Wright.
She was the wife of the late George T. Silknetter, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage and who died in June 1983.
She was a former member of the Parkesburg United Methodist Church.
Gracie graduated from the Parkesburg High School and then attended business school.
She retired from the V.V.S. Central School in New York.
She is survived by her niece, Monna Jean Pelligrino and her husband, Tony, of New Holland; and several close friends, including Peter and Carol Dwyer of Oneida, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her cousin, Esther M. Stern.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, at Upper Octorara Cemetery, Parkesburg.
